Volunteer Program

Dedicated volunteers are vital to the Lloydminster Interval Home.  They enrich the Shelter’s programs and enhance the lives of others through their commitment, support, knowledge and enthusiasm. Our volunteers assist with specific tasks (i.e. baking, fundraising, childcare, working at the store, etc.) while providing themselves with an opportunity to increase their knowledge about family violence and make a meaningful contribution to the community.

Outreach Program

Created to provide ongoing support services to past clients, this program fills the gap of uncertainties women face when leaving an abusive relationship. Many women and children return to abusive homes because of a lack of social support, not knowing of available services and because of economic need. The services include: Advocacy and referral, intervention, developing and implementing support groups and assessing safety issues.
