Balloon Memories

A book for children who are grieving the loss of someone special in their lives.  A five-year-old child grieving the loss of her special "adopted" grandfather inspired the "Balloon Memories" activity book.  In an effort put forth by one of our support workers to help this family deal with their loss, "Balloon Memories" has since evolved to a printed format.

Curriculum Guide &
Children's Activity Book

This 34 page teacher's guide and accompanying 14 page activity book encourage discussion on abuse by the way of four short stories.  Through the stories, children identify negative situations that can take place in the family.  As a group, they discuss the types of abuse that are occurring, who to go to for help, and solutions that may help the problem.  Each story is followed by work sheets that encourage feeling identification and recognizing past events that may have occurred in their lives.  The books are sold as packages containing one teacher's guide and 35 student work books.
