The “For the Interval” store was started in November 1991 as a result of overwhelming support in the way of community donations that were arriving at our emergency shelter. The idea of the “store” was initially conceived and pursued by six dedicated shelter volunteers. After 11 successful years, this fundraising enterprise has evolved to include a current location of approximately 2600 square feet.

The success of this venture can be attributed to the ongoing commitment and dedication of our volunteers, combined with the ongoing generosity and support of our community. “For the Interval” store volunteers are responsible for the day to day operations of the store. Each year our volunteers accept a challenge to raise money to support our shelter.
