Public Education & Prevention

The aim of this program is to promote awareness of the dynamics of Family Violence and its effects through presentations, in-service training, workshops and community events. The Public Education Program provides information to every age group: children, youth, adults, seniors, professionals, employee-employers, community groups, clergy and other community members. The program is used to network with other interested service providers and community agencies providing an awareness of the profile of family violence in our communities.

Presentation topics include:

The Interval Home, Bullying and Its Effects, Cyberbullying, Dating Violence, Family Violence, Elder Abuse, Healthy vs. Unhealthy Relationships and Friendships, Dating Relationships: Choices and Responsibility, Anger and Self-Esteem.
